I was a bit worried about watching this as I thought he may have been having them for breakfast

I think it is the whistle they hear more than anything else
Deer definitely have very sharp hearing.
I also love how the one buck is there waiting....he calls it "Lumpy".

The "powers that be" don't encourage that sort of thing, but you have to admit that it's waaaay COOL
My daughter lives in a sub-division outside of town that was cut out of the deep forest.
She has 4-6 deer that come to her property almost daily to feed on the bird feeders.
I've seen them many times and they're very tame and will let you get very close.

Yes....it's not something people should do. This same guy says there are bears and foxes that also come and eat the deer's leftovers. If the animals get too dependant on humans feeding them it's not a good thing.

Well I have a bird feeder and enjoy having all this wild birds coming into my garden to feed but I suppose that is a bit different
