Lowering the Tiger 800

I just looked at the spec's on the 800 verses the XC. You may have the stock drag link on the bike. The 800 has a seat height of 31.9 and the XC is 33.2.

For bottoming out, you might need to adjust the rear shock up a notch or two. It would be worth a try before buying another link and finding it's the same.
 
Hopefully, and it's something to consider, the side stand will still work OK and not need to be shortened

Im just pondering the very same thing I'm 5.5 and on tippy toes, Only just bought the bike, lower seat made no difference IMO so I just bought 35mm lower kit for back end not done it yet but if I'm going to be able to pannier up and hit the road something has to give and I've never been good in heals, had started wondering if Id made a mistake buying the bike but reading some of this stuff gives me hope...
