You know they are hard up for news when the following story is on the front page of the newspaper:

Buggy overturns in New Wilmington

Two Amish women suffered minor injuries when their buggy overturned in New Wilmington Wednesday.

According to New Wilmington police, the incident occurred after straps connecting the buggy to the horse came loose.

Police said the buggy was making a left turn from Wood Street to High Street around 3:45 p.m. When the straps loosened, the horse began to break away from the buggy, carrying it down High Street, until it overturned near the Short Street intersection.

The horse broke free and the two women in the buggy suffered minor head lacerations police said. Neither required medical treatment.

Not exactly earth shattering news is it :y2:
Some years ago my wife and I spent some vacation days in Pennsylvania and that was the first time I had ever seen Amish people and their buggies.
We stayed away from the big cities and stuck to the countryside and smaller towns.
Very nice there TUP

Lol....where else do you even read about this type of thing happening in the 21st Century.

Of course if you rode your Triumph here, you'd have to look out for "road apples" too. :)

Certain parts of PA are polluted with buggies and wagons....like near me. Grocery stores have buggy parking with tie offs for your horse. What ticks me off is yo have to put money in a parking meter when they can park free.

I probably know the Amish guy that made the buggie harness.

Neal is the Amish guy that asked me if I lived in the 20th century because I didn't have my cell phone with me at the moment!
