Buggy overturns in New Wilmington
Two Amish women suffered minor injuries when their buggy overturned in New Wilmington Wednesday.
According to New Wilmington police, the incident occurred after straps connecting the buggy to the horse came loose.
Police said the buggy was making a left turn from Wood Street to High Street around 3:45 p.m. When the straps loosened, the horse began to break away from the buggy, carrying it down High Street, until it overturned near the Short Street intersection.
The horse broke free and the two women in the buggy suffered minor head lacerations police said. Neither required medical treatment.
