Well I have been saying for some time now that I want to change out all the bulbs in the house for LED. So today I went to the store that sells these and have now changed out the outside lights and my study for LED. They actually had to order me more as they never had enough for what I wanted to do.

I must say I am very pleased with the light in the study it is the best it has ever been. I went for the cool white rather than the soft yellow ones.

You did .... perfectlt !
The LED lights now save a lot of money over a year maybe as much as 10% if you have outside lights as well .

This is why I did it as in winter the outside light have one of those light sensitive switches and come on much earlier and go off again later in the morning. For now I have only replaced the most used lights in the house but over time will replace them all.

This week the nearby home & auto store has a price/rebate special on LED bulbs so yesterday I bought some and replaced many bulbs in the house. It's something I've been thinking about for a while. The bulbs are still quite pricey, but will be a saving in the long run.

I have outside security lights that burn all night and I'll replace them as they burn out with the LED spotlights I bought.
I'm using halogen bulbs right now so will continue with them until they burn out.

The box says they will last for ten years which is stunning. Time will tell BGRIN

I have replaced my outside lights as well as they also on all night. I am very please with the light they put out as it is much better than what I had before.

I have also replaced the inside lights that we use the most. Looking at my study now it is amazing how night the light is.

I will still replace the rest of the inside lights possibly next month.
