Looks like we are in for a near miss by Hurricane Isaias. We will get some nasty weather, breezy weather here. Our coast will see come tropical storm force winds. If this thing wobbles slightly to the west, we could be in for a big blow. You maritime Canadian folks keep watch. Looks like Nova Scotia is in the projected track.

If it tracks according to that, We will get hit pretty good. Looks like the center is heading straight for the Bay of Fundy. All three Atlantic provinces will be affected.

The track has shifted west just a little. The center may ashore in Indian River County, Ft Pierce,. on the southeast coast of Florida The coastal counties from Dade (Miami) up through Brevard (Cocoa, Cape Canaveral, Titusville) are now under a hurricane warning. From Volusia (Daytona) north, the counties are under a hurricane watch. We are under a Tropical Storm warning. That means damaging winds, rain, and power outages. No motorcycle riding this weekend.

We have two weeks of food, water, toilet paper and other essentials on hand. We maintain this year round. I have 35 gallons of non-ethanol gasoline on hand for the generator. If i don't use it in the generator, I use it my lawn mowers, yard tools, wood splitter and our motorcycles. I run the generator under load for an hour every month to keep it ready. Just routine.

We do need the rain. Would prefer a nice steady rain for a day or so, but we'll take what we can get for now. Been very hot and humid this Summer. Scattered T'showers now and then. I have mowed my front lawn twice in 6 weeks.

Wow! I have to mow mine every week and it should be mowed every five days!

Looks like we in Florida were spared. The Saharan dust choked Isaias down and spared us. Looks like it will become a Cat1 hurricane again today. It is packing a lot of rain on its east side. We got about .5 inches here.

If the projected track holds, it looks like we might be spared most of it, however, the weather office is still sending out warnings.
It ain't over 'til it's over - as that wise man said BGRIN

Like Q, I haven't mowed in 2-3 weeks, but it's just about needing it now. I think I'll wait until the weather has passed.

The latest from the weather people is that the storm will track to the west of us and bring some rain and only a bit of wind.
The eastern part of the coast probably won't get anything.
That's good news because most of the time these storms track east and right over us.

The storm has tracked to the west and well inland away from the coast where I am.
We were brushed by the outer reaches and had some light rain early this morning, but no wind at all as it moves off to the north.
