Fantastic pictures, just a shame that the weather didn't smile on you all, but you can't, and didn't let that small point stop you and your mates having a great time. The cliffs are stunning, did you look over the top, made me feel funny when I looked down. Touring by bike just can't be beaten. What fantastic memories you now have.

Hey Steve. Thanks for the great photos and report of your trip. Great to see the Bonnie was up to the task and that you enjoyed it. Is there anything you would do differently, especially regarding setting up your bike and riding gear.

Hi Bryce,
If/when I go again, I would stay for 10 days rather than 5, as there is much more to explore than 5 days can do justice to.
As for the bike/luggage and gear, I wouldn't change anything.
Luggage consisted of a Triumph tank bag, Rentec rack with a chinese top box that I picked up for £17! I also had a Givi tailpack fitted.
Riding gear was, Belstaff Jacket, Frank Thomas armoured trousers, and Lewis oversuit, Teknic powerskin boots and Spidi gloves. I took 2 pairs of gloves and that was the only thing that eventually leaked. When they got too wet, I turned on my heated grips to dry them off a bit!:y2:
I can recommend the tyres I used, Continental Trail Attack. They are excellent and give good grip and feedback in the wet.
It is the first time I have used Continentals, I saw Nick Sanders used them on his trip from Deadhorse to Argentina and back, so I thought I would give them a go. They are quite a bit cheaper the previous tyres I used, Metzeler Tourances.
