Just got my new computer back from being set up...................................GREAT JUMPIN' QUETZALCOATL!! It's like I climbed out of a Curtiss Jenny and into the space shuttle!! I always had a bit of trouble on this site and one other with the connecting speed etc. NOT ANY MORE!! Anyway, I just had to "crow" a bit, that's all. HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE: Jim

I'll take the Jenny instead of a new computer anytime. Love those BI-PLANES.

Good for you Jim TUP
I had a similar experience a couple of months ago when my old PC with XP finally gave up. I bought a new PC and it's like a 747 compared to the "Jenny" I had too.
Windows 8 has been a bit of a learning curve though.
Happy computing. I know I'm enjoying mine.

Yes, he was quite a guy. I've got to get out to Hammondsport, like I've said for the past 20 years, or so, and see the museum. Now that I'm retired, there's no reason that I can't (come to think of it, there wasn't any real reason before, just me vacillating). Jim

I've been to the new museum and it's worth your time to see it.
Years ago I went to the old museum that was housed in an old downtown building in Hammondsport so the displays were crowded and restricted.
Now, with the new purpose-built building the displays are well lit and spacious. Lots of cool planes and bikes to see.

I love those old biplanes. TUP
Me too!!!
One of best flying thrills I ever had was a flight in a Stearman biplane trainer.
I sat in the front seat which had a complete set of flight controls, stick and gauges.
As I was being strapped in the pilot said, "Keep you hands and feet off the controls and let me do the flying. Enjoy your flight."
As we were turning back he put the wings vertical, poured on the power and did a tight turn.
Man oh man did I love that!!!!!!
