I started taking B & W pics with a humble Kodak Brownie camera with flash bulbs in the 50's - later moving up to better film cameras and colour prints and slides.
Back then, you had to be certain of your shots because you didn't want to waste film - or run out.
I was slow to move to a digital camera and they had been on the market a few years before I got one.
Once I got onto the digital technology I've never looked back.
It really boggles the mind that a tiny memory card can hold hundreds and hundreds of pics and video.

This is why I just don't have any photo from way back as it was just so expensive. I would end up taking them but then not having the money to get the film developed :p
Back then I didn't have much money and cameras and photos were a bit of a luxury so you had to be selective with your film and choice of shots.
I always made money available for developing and have a lot of family history in albums.
Even thought times were a bit tough back in the 30's and 40's, our families still had a bit of money for pictures.
I have a picture taken by my father of my mother with me in her arms as a tiny newborn.
It's over 76 years-old and still in excellent condition.
Now, I suppose you'll want to see it :y2:

Here you are Rocky, just so you don't feel embarrassed, here's MOT in my high chair with my big brother

OK, you asked for it.
I was probably about 4 months old and it looks like April since there are no leaves on the trees.
Looking at them now, these pictures are priceless.
