Joao, back in the late 1800's BSA was producing a three wheeled machine that looked somewhat similar to the pic you posted.
They called it a "dicycle" and it had two very large wheels with a third small wheel in front to stabilize and steer it. In reality it was a "tricycle".
The rider sat in between the two large wheels and steered the front wheel with a tiller.
Needless to say it didn't last very long.
