Riding or driving it’s unpredictable out there. I’m pretty good about looking out for motorcycles. A little while back had one speedy buzz by me like I wasn’t moving. I was going about 65 the speed limit, fairly heavy traffic and the rider weaved through the traffic and disappeared ahead. All it would have taken was a distracted driver changing a lane cutting their path of travel. There’s no way the individual would have survived if a crash occurred and certainly could have taken other with it. I was a bit frazzled by it, was as if he came from nowhere. That was an indication how fast they were traveling. Just another case that made me a bit more apprehensive about highways. Stay vigilant. One doesn’t even have to do anything stupid to get taken out.

I hear that. I went 20 years without even owning one. Technically I still don't, the TV in the house for the last several years is the Mrs'. I don't give the thing a second glance as I walk past it.

We mainly use the TV for weather and YouTube videos on travel, riding skills, and how to's.
I pretty much just watch podcasts, tutorials and history shorts(Felton,Gun Jesus,etc) on the various platorms via my laptop... a little alternate news sources and Congressional hearings as well. I do not watch network news. Other than that I read. Just reread Lansing's "Endurance." Every bit as staggering as the first time I read it 25 years ago. Even more so, actually.
I have real-time weather apps on my phone. The weather in E'ern Carolina is apparently as difficult to predict as down in W'ern Cape. Neither areas ever seem to really get it right.
