Hello!

I am a new member, joined about ten minutes ago. Three hours ago I bought my first Triumph motorcycle, a 1995 Thunderbird 900 with 13K, one owner miles. I'm looking for a few items that I can purchase from a US supplier: sissy bar with rack, exhaust (probably slip-ons), those chrome guards to keep saddlebags from hitting the rear tire, and just general parts ans accessory items. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey krazydog..I've got a 2001 T-bird 900 with only about 38k on it picked as my introduction to cruisers...of course I started in with the mods right away..king/queen seat (ebay UK), sissy bar/rack (ebay UK) soft pannier brackets (ebay UK) Hard leather panniers (Viking bags) engine guard (ebay UK) a guy over makes them himself and puts them up every so often...had to do all kinds of monkeying around with foot pegs, shifter and brake pedal cause the right side of the guard hit my ankle on the knob, high way pegs on engine guard (ebay or Amazon)added 2 extra headlights(regular ebay) electrical threaded happened to work out perfectly for attaching to turn signal bars.and finally all kinds of trial and error with handlebars to get them to more up right riding position
4.5" riser ( ebay) chopper handlebars (Dennis Kirk...in Minnesota I think)LSK gas gauge (ebay...comes from Romania or some Lithuania or someplace like that...don't have that working quite right yet. Oil temp guage..(Equus from auto parts store..Silverfish on the rat forum has pretty good detailed description for install...I had to buy 2 to get right...that's about it I guess..if you find a source for pipes let me know...so far all's I've found is there's no such animal, which doesn't make sense cause there's all kinds for other Triumphs...happy hunting and safe riding.

Thanks...some corrections however after proofreading post posting....bought the bike with about 3,000 miles on it and now has only about 3,800 not 38k. Attached additional head lights with threaded ceiling hangers (might have been from plumbing, not electrical) from Ace Hardware using 3/4" rubber coated pipe strap as a bushing also from Ace, definitely in plumbing. Just tapped right into main headlight wires in bucket so everything comes on and dims at the same time.
As for exhaust...got to doing some more searching on the forums..not much out there but the rat has a few things posted...the HD softail slipons sound like an interesting option...just don't know about how the attaching to the frame is going to work out...think I'm going to start with drilling some holes in baffles and go from there.
This is my other project 2012 T-bird 1600 ABS, bought last summer with 840 miles on it...that's no typo...840!!!

I've got a buddy with a Triumph, I don't know if it's the same model as yours but he put some viking bags on his. He's pretty happy with what he got for the price. Solid bags for lower cost than most other places. I might look into them when I buy a new bike
