It's been north of 38C here for the last few days 41C yesterday, too hot to be out riding and too hot to be working in the shed. Drops down to around 20C overnight so it's a heatwave here in Western Sydney too. May drop to 35 in the next couple of days if we are lucky. Could be a lot worse as loads of temperature records are being broken in the country, try 49C in Marble Bar that is 120.2 F.

That is hot weather for sure! Looks like the whole southern hemisphere is having an unusually hot summer.

Wow, those are incredible temps!
When I was in Melbourne a couple of years ago it hit 41C one day. That was the hottest I have ever experienced and it was very suffocating for us from the far, far north.

You never get used to the high temps, worst we have had here was 47C, that really knocks everything about, you can say goodbye to most of the garden when you get one of those days, but then there is the night time temps that don't drop until after midnight which makes sleep hard to find. Yesterday was around 40C and I checked temp at midnight it was 26C, same as it is now at 8am.

I had to mow the lawn yesterday and I heard other lawn mowers running. Our unual warm temps have ended for a while. Instead of highs in the 80's F , our highs for the nexte few days will be in the 70's in the 50's and upper 49's. Still great riding weather.

The last few days have been a lot6 cooler but with high winds so doing anything outside was not on either. Looks like a thundersorm is now rolling in so we will take any rain we can now get.
