I've had performance cams put on a couple of my other bikes in the past, and just wanted to hear the results of putting a sporting cam on the Scrambler? Anyone?
Well, that's why I asked the question, because I don't know. My experience on my Victory Vision was great, with a verified dyno run of 14 more hp and a decent increase in torque. It made that big, heavy bike much more fun to ride. I'd guess a good cam would make the Scrambler feel like riding my old Buell Ulysses; it was about the same weight, but put out 114 hp.How much of a performance lift are you expecting from the performance cam?
In cars I recall there were different types of performance cams from what was called stage 1 to racing. I'm thinking there might be similar for motorcycles. Have you inquired from the manufacturer?Well, that's why I asked the question, because I don't know. Yes Sir, but so far crickets. But then again it's a German website so maybe Google butchered the translation! In cars I recall there were different types of performance cams from what was called stage 1 to racing. Possible. LoL.Yes Sir, but so far crickets. But then again it's a German website so maybe Google butchered the translation!
Hi Bob, you got proper translation. As a German I can tell that Raisch doesn't give information for camshaft alone. The benefit depends on the other modifications one does to the bike (mapping and so on). Raisch is a very reliable brand and they do dyno test for their tuning kits but I found no kit for the Scrambler.Yes Sir, but so far crickets.
