The banks are for ever phoning me wanting to give me a credit card, they just cannot believe it when I tell them I don't do them 
Sounds about right, at one time I had 3 cards--all maxed--and yet other companies where actually sending me weekly mail to get me to take a card from them.....or to transfer balances from current cards to theirs. It is no matter to them. After my divorce I was very close to bankruptcy. I was still getting "pre approved" cards and car loan offers in the mail.....pre approved 30,000.00 just "sign and drive" really makes you wonder doesn't it.
I feel that there should be some type of law against this type of stuff. At the end of it they are prepared to to allow you to have repayments that exceed your monthly income, how on earth do they expect you to pay it back. 
I get those offers all the time - and I file them in my circular file.

I know a young man who maxed 5 credit cards and when the pressure was on him to pay he left the country and started a new life overseas. He still get offers (addressed to his parents house) to extend his cards and start new ones and he's been away for 8 years now. He has a house young family and started a successful business in his new country and comes back to Australia on holiday every year, funny old world.
ye and were all paying for everybody who does that , if you cant afford it dont buy it !
