Got a stuck ring on your finger?

If you have an injured finger and need to remove a ring, here's a good or should I say, great way to remove the ring without cutting it or cutting the finger off.


A word of warning, the medical staff talks funny so it may be hard to understand them . . . just watch the video and you will understand what they are saying.

That is clever. About a year before my dad died, his kidney failure caused swelling. He could not get his WWII USCG ring off. I took him to the fire department. They couldn't get it off either; but they did not try that technique. They did cut it off - the ring, not the finger.

Very COOL
When my daughter was a child she pushed a ring on a finger which cut off the circulation. The finger swelled up terribly and I had to snip the ring with wire cutters to get it off.
It was a valuable ring so I took it to a jeweller and had it repaired.

From experience?

I've heard of people using shoestrings and fishing line but they aren't as user friendly . . . a bit painful. This one should work a lot better.
