Getting on your bike?

This is something I have often thought about. Why do you need both feet on the ground when stopped. After all just one will do most of the time I never place both feet on the ground.

no i never put both down ! i do swap left to right depending on the sercumstanses the only time i have both on the ground is when the wife gets on and off the back.
 
For me the times I have both on the ground is when I may just be sitting on the bike and using it as a seat if I am talking to someone or just sitting. I don't even put both on the ground most times when the wife gets on

I have to use all of my developed skill when mounting a Tiger 1050.
No trouble once the wheels are turning.

I am also a 32" inseam and I am finally getting used to mounting the Tiger 800. This style of bike is a new ball game for me.

I usually don't put both feet on the ground except at very long stop lights. And that is just to stretch and change positions. I do put both feet on the ground when Mae Lyne is climbing aboard, especially on the Tiger 800.
