Frame mushrooms

Hi there, I ride a 2016 Explorer. I don't like engine bars and want to keep the bikes weight to a minimum, so am trying to find crash bungs, or mushrooms that will just protect the plastics if I drop the bike. Any suggestions, also has anyone tried the Chinese generic ones on ebay, what size are the upper engine mounting bolts too? Thanks
