The fork gators on my 2008 T100 look terrible. They look like they don't fit correctly. Does anyone know why? I would love to run without them but I know why that's not a great idea. Is there a reason why they don't fit right? Are there fork boots that fit/work?

The lower part of the bellows is over-extended causing the odd shape. They may not be located on the fork leg properly and are over-extending and sloppy looking. Perhaps they are after-market?
What happens when you pull it down to get rid of the bulging?
They are not difficult to replace, just be sure to do one side at a time.

Jim.

Thanks Jim, When I pull them down it exposes the forks. When I pull them up they come off of the seating area on the forks. They may be aftermarket since the bike had mods when I bought it. I hadn't considered that. I don't understand why they'd replace the stock with ones that don't fit. Seems odd. But whatevs. I do have the skills to replace them although I'm not really a fan of the stock ones anyway. I've had a few cafe style Hondas in the past and I like the small cap boot style. I guess I could look for those. I take really good care of my Bonnie and park it indoors. So not too worried about pitting. Cheers.

The pitting comes from riding - bugs, pebbles, sand, etc. My 03 T100 did not come with gaiters. I installed either BMW or Honda gaiters; I have forgotten which. The worked well and looked good.
