My Smartphone says it's +2C in Jozi at the moment (9 am) & I wouldn't argue with that. I've just been outside to finish off doing something in the garden and that's it- I'll be indoors for the rest of the day. Hot soup is the order of the day and there's the Italian MotoGP & Tour de France on TV this afternoon.

DaveM, I hope everything will turn out OK for the folks in PE.

Well I had a look around my yard this morning no damage just very wet and lots of leaves and stuff in the yard. The pool is overflowing like I thought it would but now it seems that it may have a leak as the water level is dropping rapidly so I will have to keep a watch on that. I suppose I will only see the real damage when I am at work tomorrow riding around town. Still raining but not so hard now

N Cape 01.jpgHey Dave - have you dried out/thawed out yet?

Well have just been issued with a high alert of another flood warning over the next few days. The weather office has also said this is the wettest winter in 40 years. It has just started raining again so here it comes

It's been just the opposite for us here - no rain for weeks - just the odd shower. Crops are drying up and lawns are brown.
Looks like some light rain over the next couple of days though.

It looks that there is some rain comming to us in the Vaal triangle. Very cold in the morning. Hope it clears up on Friday, We are doing the RAT run to Sudwala

Oh man just heard on the news our main water pipe to the city has broken due to the floods. So they estimate we have 24 hours of water left. They say it may take around 5 days to fix it. So first thing in the morning its off to find a water pump

Yes very but I have a load of water in my tank and pool to fall back on if I have to BGRIN I can see I will be swimming in the middle of winter like I did the last time when we had no water. Nothing like a dip in the pool when it's running around 8 degree Celsius = 46.4 degree Fahrenheit :y13:
