First Real Road Trip

Whistler to Calgary is exactly what I'd like to do. I think that would be a fantstic trip. Sigh. Someday...

The Rockies will always be there so you have lots of time.

That is awesome. Glad you two had a wonderful and safe experience. Many people wind up injured when they push themselves past their comfort, experience limits too quickly. You chose routes, roads and surfaces you felt comfortable on and rocked it.

l'll be heading from CA-VA-CA in the Spring. Friend of mine lives NW of Nashville.

But megapixels is not the be all and end all by any means. My son owns one of the origonal nikon d1s at 2.something mp and I have seen a 3 foot blow up of a pic off it and it was superb.
Its all about the glass,and you cant fit a 50 or 70mm dia front lens on a cell phone.

Agree 100%, I personally am terrible at photography, but if you look at some of my old photos of my Thunderbird, they were shot using an old Kodak 1mb camera.
