Hi
I'm riding a Triumph Street Twin 900 ( 2016 plate )
First time I have experienced this problem ... ignition on.. side stand up... in neutral, clutch pulled in and went to press the kill switch to start bike and ... nothing.. Zero , not a noise, click or engagement of anything ... So... turned ignition on and off and attempted two or three times and then out of the blue it started ... rode bike to local superstore to pick up lunch for work , came out of shop and the same issue again ... decided to ride back home once it started and pick up car...

I actually rode the bike to work the day before and had no problems what so ever ... Battery appears to be fine

any ideas or solutions would be much appreciated

thanks

Sounds electrical. Kill switch, ignition switch, coil, connections, etc.

Might be something in the loom. Hotwiring so nothing can interfere with ignition helps eliminate that possibility.

Only generic help, I ride an old Meriden.

Don't think it's a dead cell or you'd have nothing. A weak battery may not have enough amps to energize the relays and solenoids for the start circuits to the bike until you hit the button a few times like you've been doing. Just one possibility, or like others stated, the buttons may have dirty contacts.
