So, a little update now that I have put some more miles on the bike with quite a few more kick starts under my belt. I now whole heartedly endorse this change! It is definitely quite a bit easier to start especially since I had it adjusted properly, and it is now a one kick machine cold or warm. To anyone on the fence, I say do it you will be happy, and it might just extend your riding life with your kick start machine.

Fabulous report back!

excellent.

i have just purchased an older sidecar to fit to a 60s T120 i will build for it.

the right-side sidecar requires a shorter kickstart lever, because,

america!

so i will be fitting a higher-leverage quadrant assembly to compensate.

many thanks for this information

I AM 73 YEARS OLD AND HAVE A 72 DAYTONA 500 WITH HIG COMPRESSION PISTONS. VERY HARD TO KICK OVER FOR ME. THE TRIPLE 750 IS REALLY 3 250CC PISTONS. ASK YOUR MECHANIC IF THE PARTS WOULD FIT MY MOTOR....THANKS

My mechanic says they don't fit on your bike. He did say to ask you to measure the length of the kick stater arm (lever) as if somewhere along the line someone swapped out the arm for an earlier model those arms were shorter than the arm that comes stock on your bike. If you have a shorter arm, he has the longer arm in stock that he would sell to you. If you have the longer arm, I guess you will need to start doing leg lifts. LOL

thanks ask your mechanic if a electric starter conversion kit is made for the 500 twin. i may have to sell the bike ....i doubt it has a short lever with the higher compression but i will measure it.
