I went up the hills early this morning to watch the sunrise.
It was -7degC when I set off and the moon was full.

It soon became a bit lighter as I walked towards the Newbiggin valley.

Here are a few shots on the way up to the summit marker on Farleton Knott.
View towards Ingleborough.

From here we headed back down to where I had parked the car.

It had warmed up a bit by the time we reached the car, it was only -4degC!

Thanks for that Gumpt, usual high standard of photography from the Triumph Talk UK rep. No mention of Kiwis on that Sheep and Lambs notice.

Outstanding pic's! What sort of camera are you using?
Nothing like a few sheep to start your day off.
BTW,what time is sunrise at this time of year?

Hi Doug, the camera is just a little Casio QV-R61 6 mega pixel camera.
It's idiot proof (that's why I use it!), just point it and click. It does most things automatic, focus, flash etc. It does have a timer and different settings for landscapes, and macro mode for close up shots.
Sunrise over here is about 8.00am at this time of year.

Beautiful photos, Gump. That is way too cold for me. In fact, it will get right down to freezing here tonight. We will have the coldest morning low in over ten years.

Fabulous photos Gump. Makes me homesick for Yorkshire.

Alas I have to live down here on the South Coast owing to Naval commitments
