Over here in North America we certainly have our share of crazy drivers, but for the most part the "rules of the road" are followed and it's reasonably sane here. Drivers pretty much signal intentions and follow the painted lines on the roads and streets.
The only places I've ridden that are completely insane are the cities in Chile and Peru in South America. It was either ride in; stay the night and leave the next day, or just passing through.
That was enough of that for me!!!! It was like riding in a beehive!!!
 
OK I'll admit we were both in tourist mode when Pat and I did a massive tour of the US and Canada, back in 1995 but we found it just fine ( At this point some of you may have just fallen of your chair with laughter ).
We did 8264 miles in 6 weeks and I never used the horn once. Maybe we were just lucky and all the idiots were at work

We don't have horns in cars over here, we use the finger. :y2:

I think some of the idiots over here have a full time job being idiots on the road. Let's just hope they don't go to Russia or South America for better idiot lessons.


But with that said, we are lucky that they aren't worse than they are.
