ROTFLROTFL Amazing how funny some folks can be without vulgarity. Good One Hemi......

Ain't that the truth.

I was watching a show on HBO one night where the comedian was discussing the current craze in comedy. He stated any one could get the crowd laughing by doing just one thing, drop a few F Bombs and regardless of the content of the show, the crowd would be ROTFLMAO To prove his point when he went out on the stage, the first word out of his mouth had them laughing, yes sir, he dropped the F Bomb. He continued to tell the worse jokes ever used in an act and still had them rolling all because a few strategically place F Bombs.

After his routine he again talked backstage about the poor work a host of "comedians" are making a fortune on just because they are vulgar. . . Not because they are actually comedians.

Its become more of a "shock" factor than an actual talent thing. Case in point, I LOVE the old "Roast" programs with Dean Martin, Bob Newheart and the crew, HYSTERICAL......so I came across a "Roast" that was on comedy central last weekend. Vulgar insults and complete "who can be more nasty than the other" mentality. I got through about 10 min, then mercifully they went to commercial and I went on to watch something more positive and uplifting (color footage of the last days of WWII)
Comedy has truly run out of ideas.SAD
