A small town near here just had a devastating fire that burned up a big section of the main street putting several families on the street with just the clothes on their backs.
A fishing boat captain went down with his vessel, but by some miracle the deckhands were saved.
Thieves broke into a food bank and stole all the Christmas turkeys and food baskets that had been prepared for needy families.
Several house fires have made families homeless along with losing everything they own.
A well known 60 year-old local man went for a ride in the forest on his ATV and suffered a fatal heart attack.
An autistic 8 year-old boy was lost in the forest and found too late in the brutal cold to save his life.
