When Britain joined the European Union (E.U.), after a few years, because of Britain's Banana imports from the Commonwealth. The (E.U.) made a Ruling that basically determined how straight Bananas had to be along there length. The E.U. was seen as a big joke , as the people didn't feel any connection to the E.U. We gave up the one-cent coin in Canada a few years ago. It was no longer economical to produce and use them.
