Confused about my exhausts

Ok lets see if I can explain this properly

I am giggling my head off here.............thinking "how to word this".ok here goes.................... sigh

If you stand behind the bike (2015 T100), looking at the exhaust............. the one on the left has like a pipe inside (the baffle?) and the one on the right DOESN'T. Is it supposed to be like that?
I watched the exhausts (while idling) the one on the right blows a "smoke" but not from the left one BUT I feel "air" being pushed out of the left one...............

One of my buddies suggested that I also ask if the above will affect the compression (all I could do was shrug, cos I don't know).

See what I mean ....hope someone gets what I am asking.

I fully understand what you're asking, but don't have an answer.
My bike is a 2006 T100 and both mufflers (silencers) are the same.
It doesn't make sense that a 2015 would not be the same on both sides. A bike that new shouldn't show any smoke.
It's possible that what you're seeing is actually moisture being burned off that was inside the system and coming out as mist.
It seems to me the air (exhaust) coming out of both pipes should be the same and have the same velocity.
I have never examined a 2015 so I'm really in the dark too.
Hopefully somebody smarter and more talented will have a suggestion or an answer.

If the bike is on the side stand when checking this, maybe all the condensation in the catalytic converter is on the low side and that's what you're seeing come out the exhaust pipe. Does it only do it on startup or shortly thereafter?

It was on the side stand........ will make a point of checking this out and hopefully this old girl can arrange a video or pics.........so that you can actually see what I mean and then be able to give advice.

Until tomorrow

Good morning everyone

Ok all I have is pictures. I also paid special attention to the "puff of smoke" thing but this morning there wasn't any........so I think the smoke I referred to above could be due to the fact that she (BTW her name is Mandy Rice Too) was standing for a good few days.

Her sister, the Speedmaster's name is Mandy Rice.

TIA Guys

Ok well by the look of that i would say one of those is not original to the bike ! ... i say that because it dosn't look like its been cut out or tappered with its just differant , could be original got damaged and a second hand one from a differant year bike was bought to replace original .

I'm certainly baffled - pardon the pun BGRIN
They should be identical and a portion of the outlet is missing or it's from a different bike as Shane said.
That would bug me too. Factory mufflers/silencers are very expensive so you will have to decide whether to put up with it or bite the bullet and get a new one - or a good used one.
I'm pretty sure the "smoke" was just moisture mist burning off on start-up.

One other thing :giggle: ...............tho Mandy Rice Too is only 3 years old and she only has 1800kms on her clock..............but the pipes are quite blue.....should I be concerned about anything?
