Clutch Cover Breather Pipe 2001 Bonneville

Hello guys I'm new to Triumph talk and I wondered if I might ask a question.

I have just bought a replacement Clutch cover for Bonneville 2001 and I cant work out how to remove the breather pipe from the old cover to swop over onto the new cover...can anyone give some advice please
