What was the solution to the problem?

hi guys it was where i took the alarm off. managed to locate the correct wires to get the bike running. no thanks to carol nash alarm fitter. cutting the plug off. will keep the bike alarm free. more trouble than they are worth. one again thanks for the help and sugestions. pete :

An alarm will not stop a determined thief from getting your bike. Every time I am on an overnight at a hotel I fear awaking to an empty parking spot. All we can do it ride and not worry about it. Glad you have her running again.

I agree with Gary. When I am staying at motel or hotel, I try to make arrangements with the manager to let me park it in fornt of the lobby where it is visible. Alarms may stop an amateur; but they don't phase a professional.

that is good you can get a hotel manager to let you leave the bike close to the lobby. i have a friend in work who also hates alarms. he will disconect an electrical plug if he leaves the bike for any amount of time. yes true about alams not stopping profesional bike theft scum. from picking the bike up to load in a van with the alarm singing its head off. any way this day and age no body takes any notice if thev whitness thiss. which then renders the alarm useless. pete

You are exactly right and that is just what the thieves do.

Good job Pete! A little patience and persistance goes a long way in finding an electrical fault, they sure can be buggers to fix!
