Glenn

Bonneville T100
I have several parts off my '79 Bonnie that I no longer need. They are:
Rear chain sprocket - almost new
Rear chain - almost new
Primary chain
Primary chain sprocket
Chain tension system
Complete wet clutch asssembly (discs, pressure plate, springs and pressure nuts) -The discs are almost like new as well as the springs and nuts. The rear sproket, chain, clutch plates, springs, and nuts have less than 100 miles on them.

I will sell them as a unit or pieced out. Make me an offer I can't refuse for the entire lot.

Glenn, you might consider holding on to those parts in the event you sell the bike. A buyer might wish to bring the bike back to original. Just a thought.

My son has already cautioned me that the bike is not for sale based on the fact that he wants it once I no longer can ride it.

How is the weather in Orlando? I have an aunt who lives close in the Orlando-Winter Park area. I also have college friend from there who still lives there. It has been years since I was last there. I am hoping to go visit my college roommate who lives in Palm Coast as well as many friends wo are in the Jacksonville/Jacksonville Beach area.

The weather here is high in the low 90's and low in the low 70's. We have not yet hit the summer rain patterns; so all we are having is a few very widely scattered thunderstorms, about a 20% chance of precipitation. I do not even carry my rain gear when I ride - yet.

Mae Lyne and I lived in Flagler County just west of Palm Coast for about six years before moving to the Orlando area. Much of the time I was in the service, I kept my official residence in St Augustine. If you get to Jacksonville or Palm Coast, please let me know. I would love to ride up and meet you.

Carl, I will definately let you know when we go down. I almost moved to Flagler Beach. A friend was the football coach at Flagler-Palm Coast High School in Bunnell and had my mom not been sick with cancer I would have moved there. He wanted me to come down and coach with him, but it never happened. I have coached high school football in NC since 1967. The kids think it is neat that I ride my '79 Bonnie to practice. Another coach rides a HD. The first day I rode my bike over, he was already there, and they almost knocked his bike over getting to mine. Just wait until I finish restoring my 1953 Chevy Truck and drive it over. The 350 engine and loud mufflers will drive them nuts.

This is a 1-2 year project that is in progress. There are several things I will do. The last thing will be to paint it Silver as well as repaint the inside gray. I will post pictures once I get it the way I want it. I'm also going to remove the radio and replace it with a modern AM/FM/CD radio that fits the original shape of the dash and add AC, put 17" wheels on, etc.

Someone suggested that when I finish the truck I should put the bike on the back and take them both to the car/truck shows. Now that would be different. An old truck hauling around an old bike driven by an even older guy.:y2:
