It's only Thursday, but the long range forecast for the weekend is temps up in the double digits C. To the warm climate members here, 12C (54F) may seem like the north pole:y2: but to us northerners it's time to ride.
If the forecast holds it looks like I may get some bikes out tomorrow or Saturday.
The following weekend is our annual "Biker Bash" spring show so the vintage bikes have to come out anyway. Last year I rode my old T100 to and from the show and I hope to do it again this year.
Yeeehaaawwwww!!!!!!!

Excellent, Rocky. I won't tell you that it is in the mid 80's here with lows in upper 50's to lower 60's. Your weather does sound like the north pole! :y23:

I have no real cause to complain. We had hardly any snow compared to 20 years ago when it used to get down to -20C and snow a lot.
This year I only had my snowblower out once and the temps only got down to -15C a few times for only a couple of days and then shot up again.
Well....."up" is relative I guess, -8C to -10C which really isn't all that cold for the dead of winter in Canada.
In the "old days" it would stay at -20C for up to six weeks in January and February.
On some of those milder days this winter I was afraid my igloo would meltBGRIN

the opersite is happening here winter is getting colder! last winter we had 4ft of snow for 4 months and -22c for most of it !

Thanks Carl, I'm really glad you didn't tell me that:y8::y13::y2:
Dave, 18C is a wonderful riding day here.

Actually 18C/64F is good riding weather. I would rather it be 74F however.

I'm glad your igloo didn't melt!! :y24:

yep! its spring :y2: here in scotland its gone from -20c to 18c in three weeks !:y60:

That is pleasant weather indeed.

No thank you; I do not wish to deal with that.

54? Dang I'd need my electric gear, long underwear and sweats with my riding gear. Our low tomorrow is supposed to drop all the way down to 72f.

All kidding aside, 54 really is good riding weather. Come July and August I will be pleased if the highs are only in the upper 90's.

When I was a kid we used to get temps down into the -5c and a bit of snow now and then. Never got used to the cold but then we are not really setup like you guys are in the colder parts to accommodate cold weather. So for me when you talk about -15 plus I just cannot get my head around it :y35:

Can't complain here. Snow mostly in the mountains around us. Not to cold this winter except back in December it was around 0 (F) for a couple of weeks, but it is warming up now.

Dave

I knew it was too good to be true:y8:now the forecast is for only 8-9C (mid 40's F) so I'm having second thoughts about getting any bikes out.
But I still might take them out of the warm and dry basement and put them back in the unheated garage. I hope they forgive me:y2:
