No Triumph yet, he's ridden mine and loves it. I actually just got him into riding last May so he's been riding under a year and had only ridden a a few months when we left Edmonton and did Hwy 101 from Washington to San Fran, so he's a trooper. Has a Vstrom 650 now and is looking at getting either a BMW or Triumph.....I'm pushing for the Tiger.

Awwww....it MUST be in the stars then since you allowed him to ride your nearly new Tiger. That's true love! :)

Now get him to join TT and let us do the brainwashing....lol!

So AJ you really going into the modern world of communications, so how are you liking it so far :y2:

I like it a lot although it's baffled me in some ways.

I don't have a data plan for it, so I can only use it via wi-fi.

I also have the spell-check enabled, but it underlines practically every word and even ones spelled correctly. I also don't understand the storage issue....sd card, internal, and usb???

Well I am still working my one out as I go along, I don't seem to have a spell checker but the auto correct and that can be a bit of a pain at times. I need to look into this a bit more and see how it comes together

I got my boyfriend an airplane flying lesson........he got me an engagement ring which he gave to me on our Christmas ski trip in the mountains :)

Congratulations!!! TUP

I and the "Love of my life" went in on a joint gift. We upgraded from a 20 year old 25" TV to a 60" Plasma.

No more squinting to see the screen!!!

WOW!!!
From 25" to 60".
From cathode ray tube to plasma.
That's like going from horse and cart to Rocket 3.
Next thing you'll be telling us you"re planning to get a telephone wired into your house.:y15:

I can see where that could cause a problem............BGRIN

Sent from my BlackBerry 9930 using Tapatalk and some serious hunting and pecking on this unproven technology. ;-)

Don will get the phone indoors when he can't climb the telephone pole anymore.

Those poles seem to get taller every time I make a call...... ROTFL

Yes, a big congratulations from Australia also.

Now, ya gotta tell him the real answer to his big question swings on his decision between the BMW or Triumph. If he picks the correct brand the girl comes with it, pick the wrong one and he can ride all of the way to Germany by himself.

Darn I wish I had thought of that!

Lol @ the Eddie Albert reference! How many non-Americans recognized that pic I wonder.

Trivia: Eddie Albert was a cockswain in the US Navy during WWII and navigated a landing craft at Iwo Jima.

True story: I had a fraternity brother who was certifiably crazy. In the summer, he worked as a lineman for Ohio Bell telco. He also drove a great '63 Corvette, not that that has anything to do with the story. Anyhow, you could be cruising along in his Corvette when he'd decide to make a phone call long before cellphones came out. He'd pull over near a telephone poll, climb it' and hook into the line with his little test phone anytime he wanted. He could also make free long ditance calls that way since there was no one to bill!

Prior to World War II, and before his film career, Albert had toured Mexico as a clown and high-wire artist with the Escalante Brothers Circus, but secretly worked for U.S. Army intelligence, photographing German U-boats in Mexican harbors. On September 9, 1942, Albert enlisted in the United States Navy and was discharged in 1943 to accept an appointment as a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat "V" for his actions during the invasion of Tarawa in November 1943, when, as the pilot of a U.S. Coast Guard landing craft, he rescued 47 Marines who were stranded offshore (and supervised the rescue of 30 others), while under heavy enemy machine-gun fire.
