Hello everyone- I am new to this group, this is my first post. I have been researching a potential purchase of a new or used Tiger 800 XC and I am wondering if anyone knows a rental outfit in the Pacific Northwest area? I have come across House of Motorad in Boulder, CO. who has two 800 XC bikes among their otherwise mostly BMW rentals. They appear to fully outfit the bike and rider(hard luggage, helmet, suit, boots, gloves, comm system, GPS,tank bag) if desired, good prices. I just wanted to compare to other possibilities that may exist. My thought is to do a 3-4 day trip to get a feel for the bike and the overall adventure experience. I live in Boise, ID and have not found any such rental available here. I am anxious to get on a bike and ride, just not ready yet to pull the plug without having a taste first. I appreciate any thoughts you might have.

WELCOME...sorry I do not know of a Triumph Tiger Rental in your area. But possibly some members from your neck of the woods will come along shortly :y2:
I have the 955i Big Trailie version and I can tell you in 30+ years of riding and 28 different bikes.....the Tiger ticks all the boxes and is well worth the buy in. Happy Tiger Hunting:y15:

Dandrews, welcome to the forum. There are not many rentals for Tigers; most are HD or BMW. I am a very satisfied owner of an 800XC. Best all around bike I have owned in 55 years of riding. It might be worth a trip to CO for you and ride an XC for a couple of days.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your input. I think I will move forward with renting in Boulder, CO and see if anyone else chimes in with other options. Can't wait!!!

I'm from the Seattle area but I've never tried to rent a bike so I don't really have any input. There are 4 dealers that I know of on the west side of the mountains from the Canada border to south Tacoma. I guess one could call and ask one of them.

Good idea Birdman5. I have contacted several Triumph dealers throughout the NW and beyond, with so far unsuccessful results(Seattle/Lynwood, Reno, Vegas, etc). But I will keep trying. My local dealer has an 800 for rent, which I have scheduled for later this month...I am really trying to nail down the XC experience. I notice that the XC's are widely available in different countries, just not U.S. yet. Thanks for your suggestion!

Thanks Birdman5, I will be vacationing in the San Juan Islands next July for two weeks, so well worth the effort of finding out if they do or don't, cheers!
