Every year I try to get the bikes mothballed for the winter by the end of October before it gets too cool to comfortably prep them - change oil, drain gas, etc. - in an unheated garage.
I finished that chore today a bit earlier than usual, but there was no point in putting it off.
My season started the first week of May - which seems like only a couple of weeks ago FACE
No special rides or trips this year; just riding with the vintage club, a couple of friends or solo morning runs in search of breakfast.
It was another hot summer and not a lot of rain so I/we got in plenty of riding.

Well, Rocky, I was a little behind you in getting my bike stored for the winter months, but it happened today. The 10+cms of snow on Friday may have helped me make up my mind. Last ride was the 28 Oct when I rode to work. That was a little brisk.
Changed the oil, removed battery to the basement and parked the Big Cat off to the side and covered her up. Wasn't ready for riding season to end just yet. I lost a month in August to a pinched nerve in my neck that prevented me from riding or doing pretty much anything and I was wanting to get more riding in. Alas, it will have to be next year.

I feel your pain.
Saturday morning I woke up to a layer of freezing rain covered in a bit of snow on top of that at -4C :y26: I hadn't expected that so soon and was glad I put the bikes away when I did.
