I found enough info and see that the air pump is just in there with no air hoses. I did further inspect and he must have put a KN filter in existing airbox because it looks stock except for the plug for air injector hose.

Yes your air injection is definitely removed. Check low down on the exhaust headers to see if there are wires running from the O2 sensors location, if not they are removed as well.

the o2 is still on there. I'll need to find the plugs and build the resistor removal plug or find someone who will sell me a set.
thank you all for your help

It’s possible the airbox has had internal mods. Personally I saw no point in the airbox and used a delete kit to get rid of it. There should be one for your model or one that can be made to work. Not sure how different your frame is in that area or how different the box is. The previous owner obviously started the process of getting rid of the items. You can complete it or now with more revised information setup a better tune. Have fun!

just a report. The bike has not died since I took off the LOUD pipes. it sounded good but too noisy. I think it made bike run too lean and die every time you cracked the throttle. I may look for a milder noise making pipe but those where way too loud for me and the county I live in

I think it means the previous owner didn't do any adjustments after the pipes.

Stock seat with an "Airhawk" air cushion. Makes a hell of a difference.
And I'd say yes, your air injectors have gone west...

If you're still looking for an ECU re-map, contact the guys at TTP. I'd be prepared to bet that the Stage 1 kit I installed on Roy (2011 model) will also suit a 2016 model.

I noticed the stalling pulling away from light and a stop sign this morning. I have to fix that for sure. is there a procedure for "removing the O2 sensors"? this thing came with super loud pipes and has a KN filter and has not been tuned for it. Is there a tuneecu tune or something for these bikes like the tiger has?
Triumph Twin power has a really good tune for you. It seems anything we do that effects engine performance or emissions no matter how small, it needs to be retuned. I love my 2011 America in Pacific Blue, and New England white. Wife gave me mine for my 50'th BD. Great reliable bikes. God bless.

I removed the air injection and O2 sensors but kept the standard pipes, didn’t retune at all bike runs fine. Standard air box and filter. Air injection effects downstream of the combustion chamber and O2 sensors only effect (I believe) the first 6% of throttle, leans the mixture out slightly to pass emission testing. Someone please correct me if I have this wrong.

You are correct on the O2 sensors. "Booster Plug" helps greatly with snatchiness off idle, but after that no more. They override the O2 sensors and tell the ecu to add more fuel, but only for that first 6%, no extra hours, no extra torque, but loads better drivability, and off idle smoothness. I loved mine till I got money for a new set of pipes, and bellmouth air intake, I also removed the baffle from the air box, and put in a DNA air filter, then retuned with TTP's program. Now it's not like riding a GS1100 but, definitely a great improvement. Torque curve is noticably flatter and a few more horses. Drivability is still great. And I'm very happy with it. God bless

Wanna sell those noisy old pipes?

Ok. I bought some baffles to fit in my too loud pipes. They are much better. Glass packed straight through baffles. I bought plugs for O2 sensors and shut them off with tune ecu. I found a map for aftermarket pipes and no other mods. But the plugs are wrong size. Anyone know the metric size and pitch of those threads? Sounds better runs strong. Didn’t die on the way home but I think it’s going to because I’m back to that throttle at idle thing! Any help on that size would be great. I looked and got bad info

bike has not died at a stop sign or light or cracking throttle since I eliminated the o2 sensors.. so thanks everyone for the help I think my issues are solve... get that safe start thing installed when I change the oil and I think I'll be done. and just ride it.
