Winter is back with a vengeance! DAMMIT!
15-20 cms today, more Wednesday and Friday.
90-95% had already melted.
I even took the Bird off it's stand and put the battery in and fired it up.
ARRRRRRRRGGGGHH.

Having just seen this thread reminds me of the pictures my partner Andrea is always showing me from friends and family in Canada!
She is from Sault Ste.Marie and threatening to bring me over soon.
Looks beautiful but at the moment my aching bones prefer Portugal haha.

It's easy for us over this side of the pond who don't have to put up with all that snow every year, but when it thaws, Canada shines in all it's stunning glory,

I rest my case.

We got lucky here on the coast with some snow, but that soon turned to rain and washed most of it away.
There is still a little snow around, but the sidewalks and streets are clear and dry.

The photo above posted by MOT is Moraine Lake in the Valley of Ten Peaks in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and is one of the most beautiful places I have visited.
When I did the motorcycle tour of the Rockies in 2010 we stayed at the lodge at the lake.
This is my own picture of the lake. Thanks for the reminder and the memories MOT TUP TUP

If only I'd taken that, I've been to Canada a few times, the wife and I did an 8265 mile tour of the west coast of Canada and the US back in 95, I have lots of pictures but nothing that comes close to the quality of that one, or Rocky's either. Will be booking up for Sturgis in August, we're planing a east - west - east coast tour and Alaska as well. I just hope that when I get back Dave will increase the capacity of the forum to take all my photo's that I'm planning to take (y)

Rocky----we got the tail of that front----it was 49 here the other night!!!!! I damn near FROZE!

MOT.......looking forward to the trip!!!! good to see it "fleshing out"

YOur gonna LOVE the Alaska cruise if you can do it......one of the best trips of my life was the Inner Passage cruise out of Seattle.

Alaska is fantastic, 4 friends and i were flown into the interior and dropped off for a week of salmon fishing. Talking about a great trip, and the fishing unbeatable, one of the greatest things was no tv, radio, noise of any type other than nature [ we did have emergency communication ], had to carry a large cab. hand gun or rifle with us at all times and use the buddy system wherever we went. One of the best weeks of my life, wish i were still up there in the woods.
