Lets us spare a thought for all those innocent people that lost their lives on this horrific day and to the surviving families. This was a day that change our world. To all those brave men still fighting the conflict today and paying the ultimate price from all countries we :Salute4: you. Not forgetting the anguish that the families of these men are going through while in combat and those that lost their lives.

Let us never forget CRY

Who could forget?

It will be a "where were you when Kennedy was shot" thing. I remember turning on the radio in the car after leaving work that afternoon, and one home was glued to the tv for the next several hours.

RIP.

I remember well the day Kennedy was shot and of course, 9/11.
I had been out early shopping that September morning and as I rode home in my car nothing was said on the radio.
I pulled into my driveway at 11:00 AM and a news flash came on the car radio that a plane had crashed into the WTC. I was stunned to hear that and when I went inside my wife was screaming at me to come and watch the TV. Once I understood what had happened I still couldn't believe it.
Yes indeed, that was the day the world changed forever.

I have not forgotten and I still brim with anger. For that reason, I did not mourn bin Laden's demise. Rocky is right; it did change the world forever. I remember it vividly.

I forget to mention in my post that 9/11 is also my brothers birthday.
So, from now on, and for the rest of his life, he will celebrate his birthday also knowing that is this is one of the most dreadful days in history.

I wish I could forget, but that's impossible.

As is my tradition, I post our hometown band The Clarks playing a song written by the lead singer Scott Blasey on 9-11-2001 after watching the events unfold on TV all day.

On the morning of 9/11/01 I was headed out the door when the phone rang. I figured it was my wife since I had forgotten to call her. Told her to make it quick, I was running late for my flight. She told me I had better turn on the TV before I went any further. I still have my airline tickets from that morning sitting on my dresser.

I'd have it framed and on the wall.

My wife was talking Tuesday night about getting it framed. We've discussed it a couple times but have never followed thru on it.

Do it, it will become a family heirloom.
The great grand kids will say, "If that old bloke used those tickets, we may not have arrived".:y15:

It is that time of the year when we need to reflect on the saddness and tragidy of this event. As we move on with our lives as before there are still those that are deeply affected by this event. Let us take a few moments out of our busy day to remember these folks.

LET US NEVER FORGET :Salute4:
