Hello, new to the forum. Looking at a 78 Bonneville 750 5 speed. All original with 11K miles. A one owner. Is $4000 a reasonable price?

It is difficult to answer your question without more information and photos. Is the bike in excellent condition? Good? Fair? Poor? Does she run? Have you ridden it? Original and unrestored brings a higher price; but that price depends on the condition. With only 11k miles, the engine is probably OK. If it is not running, expect to have to clean the fuel tank and go through the carbs at a minimum. Has it been garaged or has it sat outside?

Zona , i bought a 1976 T140v 2 years ago, paid $2900 for it rode it about 1+ years, took it all apart, to paint it, fit with elect. ign.,volt. reg., new tires, spokes, rims, some chrome, valve job, i can't list all the things i have/will do to it, i will have a ton of $ in it when i finish, way more than $4000 for sure, and i can do just about everything myself witch saves alot of $. just saying that if that bike is in very good shape, looks good ect. it might be a good buy and you can start riding right away. My bike is listed as Triumph David and his T140, check it out.

A quick shot of the bike.

If it will crank and run and the brakes work and the lights work and the shocks are not leaking, then that is a fair price. I would make him a lower offer and negotiate.
