Took a short ride this morning, then did an oil change (547 miles). The dealer does not have the software yet (new shop) I'll need to wait for them to complete the service. I was surprise how cloudy the oil was after only 547 miles.

I love the photo. Glad you got the oil changed.

@Rocky Under US law, the warranty cannot be voided if you, or an independent shop, changes your oil and filter. One should save the receipts for the purchase of the oil and filter. Of course, the oil and filter must meet or exceed Triumph's specifications.

That's interesting.
I don't know if we have the same/similar law here, but I always did my first oil and filter change myself since the owner's manual says it's OK.
But as you said, use quality products and keep the receipts.

I dud my first service myself also, and was quite surprised by the amount if what appeared to be fine glitter in the oil. I not retain any of that draied oil. I will hope the the scer glitter-appearing material was assembly lube, not bearing material. I have a total of 2k miles now, and the bike us functioning very, very well.

Did my first oil change at 690 miles using the kit from AJ Cycles NY. Removed some small metal flakes from both strainers. AJC sent me the wrong oil filter so I had to reinstall the original. The correct filter is on the way and will install it when it arrives. I wonder if I can swap out the oil filter without having to do another oil change as well? Seems unlikely. Maybe if I lay the bike on its side I could do an oil filter replace without draining all the engine oil out? Or maybe I'll just drain the oil, do the filter swap and pour that new oil back into the engine. Just thinking out loud... thoughts appreciated.
