We have some tough boy scouts in England !!, we are going too need them for the next 3 games.
Yup, you're going to need all the boy scouts you can get - and if they're anything like ones you've already got, you're looking good there mate! I think this is going to be a great 6 Nations!! Wish I could make it to Murrayfield again :(

I've just got back from watching the Rugby Sevens in Vegas. Fantastic tournament. Our group consisted of English (me,) American (wife), Scottish (friend) Canadian (friends wife), so we had lots of teams to support and and thankfully none of our teams played each other on the day we watched. Got home in time to watch the final on TV and saw a great final with Samoa beating NZ in the last play of the game. If you ever get the chance to watch it live as it makes it's way around the world, I highly recommend it. I'm seriously thinking of heading to the UK in May to watch it in either Scotland or England.

And this weekend is rugby rugby rugby and a touch of cricket. Now the MotoGp, SuperBikes and F1 must start and I'm one happy chappy! Oh, Roland Gaross, Wimbledon and Flushing Meadows- going to be Nadal & Djokovic finals again and again! :y2:

I was flipping through TV channels last night and noticed there was rugby being played on a channel. I stopped and watched a little bit just because of this thread.

I think it was a recap type program because they showed the USA actually won a game, and then lost the next one (naturally).

Hey Seeker - win some lose some - it's playing the game that counts! I don't really care who's playing, if it's rugby, I love it!

To sorta quote Vince Lombardi, If winning isn't important then why do they keep score?

But your right, win some, lose some, get your butt kicked some and kick some butts.

I don't care who wins a rugby match since its been years since I watch any, well other than the 7's a few nights ago.

I need to qualify - if the Boks are playing, ofcourse I want them to win but if other countries are playing and SA's not involved, then for me it's the game that's important. Internationally, I support the All Blacks, France and Scotland if SA is not playing.

Local teams, I support the Sharks, but if neither of them are playing, I support the Cheetahs - the underdogs!

Hey G
first games are on tonite our time, and I gotta get my bets on, so, a bit of SA gut feeling,
Are the sharks strong enuff to beat the bulls at home
stormers v canes. how are the stormers doing at the moment cos I fear the canes haven't gelled yet.
lions v cheetahs ? I can never pick between these two, but I'm thinking lions.
hints welcome, and if your wrong, I aint coming all that way to haunt you for the sake of a coupla bucks.:y2:

Hey Devo - The Sharks have a great team this year and the Bulls have a lot of new bloods starting out. But they're playing at the Bull's stadium (Loftus) and it's tough beating them there - The House of Pain, The Bull Ring and it's really good names. I think the Sharks may pull it off because I think the newbies are going to make lots of mistakes (hopefully).
Then the Lions vs Cheetahs - the Lions won the Curry Cup here last year against all odds and they're looking good with their lineup. The Cheetahs are the underdogs but have managed to secure some good players - I think they're a team to watch this season. Excluding the Lions and Sharks, I wouldn't mind seeing the Cheetahs pulling off a few good wins! But I go with the Lions on this match
Stormers - I'm not their biggest fan but they've also got a damn good line up - If I were taking a bet, I'd go Stormers on this one.

So I'm saying: Sharks win, Lion win, Stormers win.

That was a great game - it started off really slow and we had one of our local matches on at the same time so I was channel switching - next thing Wales had scored a try and converted and then it was game on! Was really chuffed Wales won.

For our local Super 15 games, my Joburg home team won by 1 point - an ok game, lots of new players and nerves but the Cheetahs are going to be a team to watch.
Stormers beat the Hurricanes but imo the Hurricanes were a better team - only the Stormers tight forwards played great rugby. Bulls vs Shark - nothing to say :(

But the Superbikes are back - 1st race at Philip Island recorded - we'll watch that later today!

Well done too Wales but out pack of Boy Scouts continue to show potential against the more experienced teams.
Gromit , Haga is riding in British Superbikes this season so i may go too watch him several times.
