I'm not going to explain any further. You understand what I'm talking about. Yes, I am capable of doing it myself, however, with the bike already in Cleveland - remember this is no short jaunt for me - it was easier just to say "Yes."

Anyone who has further questions about this, I'll pull the Official Triumph Service manual and start quoting from that.
As the issue manifested itself close to home how did the bike get to Cleveland? Your Long and Lat coordinates didn’t make any sense so I couldn’t get an idea as to how far it was. As you are capable of DIYing it yourself wouldn’t it be cheaper and give more satisfaction to do so?

From your description of the problem the bike would appear to still be rideable as long as you short shift through third?

I'm between Sandusky and Toledo, OH. Cleveland is about an hour and a half east of me (my local dealership). I trailered the bike to Cleveland.

I can wrench pretty well, but my diagnostic sense is lousy. I also wanted the bike back in the shortest possible time.
