Hi Folks,

Had to replace a damaged (cracked) ignition switch assembly - actually a close Friend who is a licensed auto Mechanic and knows his way around bikes has done the work. The ignition switch assembly came with two new keys. He has installed the ignition switch and there is power etc to the console but the bike will not start. Any thoughts on this? We were wondering if the two keys had to be programmed or something based on security issues? Any thoughts / suggestions would be helpful. Thanks Vince.

Hi Carl,

So I found out that replacing the part (The ignition switch) is a very doable process but will not get you very far unless you have a Triump Diagnostic Tool, so you can pair the key to the ECM. From what I understand - this is something that is only done by Dealers or Certified Triumph Mechanics. So looks like I will need to book an appointment with my Dealer.
