Hello all,
Retired from the airline game as of 1 Dec. Everyone wanted to know whats next and what do I need? A gold watch, pen & pencil set, take some time for myself BS, (Whatever that means, with 4 kids underfoot). So I reached a little higher and started planning an Alaska run from Idaho. Weapon of choice was the XC ( or is that Ecstacy?). I guess they do the same thing but I only use the 2 wheel version.
Found this 2012 at auction. Parts needed: Leftside passenger handle, rear platform (I guess you make the dog sit on it?), front frame that supports headlight bucket and windscreen bracket, windscreen bracket, windscreen (duh), speedo, probably both mirrors, (left present but cracked glass), upper front fender (orange to match tank), left/right rear side plastic, taillight assembly, torn front seat cover repair/replace. And about 50 to 60 zip ties, two rolls of duck tape, shoe goo, and one can of safety wire. As an ex AMA roadracer, I have alot of experience bending, breaking and rebuilding. But of course, all we needed was to finish a 6 or 24 hour race, make the qualifier, or make it to Happy Hour before they ran out of free food. So I'm open for any advice,"used but good parts"; don't waste your $ on OEM windscreens, speedos, taillights, etc.
Cheers and Happy Holidays, tangochuck Tiger Dec15 013.jpg Tiger Dec15 007.jpg

:y151:andWELCOMEto the forum from across the pond, love your introduction, made my laugh more than once.TUP
Well judging by that if anybody can rebuild her, you seem to be the right person to do it. Please do take lots of pictures of your progress, it will be great to follow it. Now as for Alaska, what ever you do don't forget that camera, the wife and I have plans for the future for a trip to Alaska, so it would be great to get some first hand pictures of what must surely be one of the most beautiful areas in North America.
Good luck with it and a Happy Christmas to you too.
