2001 Bonneville Sump same as later models?

A friend has damaged his sump and has asked me to repair it for him. We're in a country town and there are no local motorcycle workshops.
Looks like a pretty straight forward job. A new sump is pretty expensive but I've found a 2nd hand sump on line from a 2006 model.
The bike is not here with me and but memory they look the same.
Can anyone tell me if the 2001 and 2006 sumps are interchangable?

They are the same through 2006 anyway. I suspect they are still the same as the basic block has not changed.
