Awesome vid, great camera angles. What camera are you using?

I bet you're happy she's running again. I think you're doing the right thing by running it in again properly, even though the rings are good.

Congrats mate, awaiting more videos now hey?

Thanks guys,
I'll try to get the camera out again if we ever get any days of sunshine here in the UK!
Summer's been a wash out so far! :y9:

Thanks avion,
Yes even though the bores weren't touched i thought it was worth taking it easy on the bottom end to start with...

The helmet-cam I use is the POV 1.5.
It's been pretty good for the couple of years I've been using it but i think it has suffered due to using it a lot on the dirtbike ( being the UK, that means mud & rain)
The picture quality is still ok but the microphone is getting a bit knackered for some reason...
The good thing about the POV is that it has a screen so you can set up the shots and know what you're filming without all that trial and error nonsense you get with other cameras. Plus being a small bullet shape means you can gaffa tape it anywhere that the lead will reach! great for getting unusual angles!
I'll try to get more footage of the bike once (if) the sun comes out again here...
Cheers

No prob's Sea Dog. the filming was done in West Sussex, about 40min's from where I live in South London.

Not familiar with that camera, but the quality speaks.
I have the Drift HD with the small screen too, I know the disappointment of those without, we did a whole hour's ride of blue skies once lol.

I'm busy with a video of my Speed Triple, gonna be a while though.

Just checked out the Drift HD - looks good... just a question, how does it cope with wind noise?
A lot of cameras seem to suffer on that score. The POV is ok (although in this latest film it did go a bit haywire!) because you can usually put the separate mic in a sheltered pocket or something...
But deffo like the idea of an adjustable lens angle, that would really help keep the road at the right angle!

It depends on where you stick it for wind noise, however you have a choice of 4 mic levels when recording.

Also, mine can take an external mic. I don't have one of those though. I like the new Ghost version, wifi. But not worth the money for me to upgrade to that one. I have the HD 1080 version.

The support for this camera here is very good. I complained about the battery life compared to my old Drift, and they sent me a spare battery. I also got some free memory cards, mounts and a t-shirt once too. The distributor is top notch.

Hi All,
Progress report on the Speedie...

Engine runs fine after oil change but does still run a bit hot in traffic... not sure why, I'll check my thermostat I guess - maybe it's not cutting the fan in soon enough...?

I've found a second oil leak - behind the water pump. Hopefully I'll be able to change the seal without splitting the engine (if i have to split the engine again that job will have to wait a LONG time!!).

The handling is a bit odd too, feels like low tyre pressure but they are both fine, the tyres are not worn either, but at bigger lean angles, if I go over a bump, the bike tries to stand up thus pushing me wide - not a trait I'm overly keen on!
I'm gonna go to a suspension guru and re-set the bike up - set up the Sag, check both front and rear springs and see if that helps. I know the rear shock must be getting tired by now (it was a second hand unit i put on the bike years ago when the original got corroded)

But otherwise runing fine, here's another short film;

Great video Zade. Certainly have to be on your A game threading the needle in London roads. Over here in Oz the Kangaroos are camouflaged and leap out in front of you at the last possible moment. I think its a game of dare that their mates put them up to.........10 points if the motorcyclists eyes smash the inside of his visor. If you make it, you win and get first choice of the fresh grass on the other side of the road......I you don't, you are crow food.

Good luck with the oil leak and it would appear that a good rear shock will go along way to sort the handling. TUP

Cheers Sea Dog,
I'll take my chances with the traffic over the "roos" any day!! although I'd take your weather over ours any day! :y2:

I've ordered the oil seals so should be putting them in once they're here.
And I've got the number of a suspension gurru so we'll see what he says...

Cheers
