1996 Thunderbird Air Filter

Hi, New to the forum and don't know if it's been discussed but I was interested in replacing the stock air cleaner and box with 3 individual foam filters, perhaps uni brand. Has anyone had experience doing this and if so what size filters will work?

It is done a lot, but be prepared for getting deep in to carburetor re-jetting if you do this. I prefer to keep the stock type air box and modify it a bit. I think they run better if you do. I have two bikes with this engine. Just my experience (17yrs) talking. Enjoy !
