(still 2 weeks ago)
This area is much tidier now.

Looking better in this entire area...

Primary side needs a bit of cleanup, but not till after the oil change. That's it for today, I think I lost 2 lbs. in sweat...

Front brake master cylinder leaks and won't pump up fully. New stainless steel replacement should arrive in a day or two. Oil change next. Slowly doing touchups and cleanup, test ride by the weekend if all goes to plan...

Replaced the new white fluid cup with the old (but nicely cleaned up) black one. White one stuck out like a sore thumb. Filled and bled, works great!

(Thursday)
All nipped up, started on the 2nd kick! A bit of smoke from wet sumping, nice easy test ride up and down the street. Still need to set the idle and then get it out on the highway.

Oil filter was in very good shape. Looking at my records, it only had just over 360 miles on it.

Castrol GTX 4T is now called "GO"...

J.C. Motors have been booked already, pickup likely next week. Off it goes...

This project is DONE!

This bike sold a few months ago, the new owner is slowly removing one component at a time and refurbishing it. He just had significant surgery, so the project won't be ongoing till maybe next year.

Yes, it was sold as a "ten footer" (looks good from 10 feet away), which is exactly what he wanted.

He will be replacing rubber and non-original bits, and spiffing up each and every component, till it appears more or less restored; should be once he recovers, it will be on the road continuously except maybe a day or two while a critical part or component is being refurbished.

Thomas (the new owner) had a significant surgery, but is done with the delicate recuperation and is back to tinkering in the shop. His goal is to have it mostly done in time for spring. He should be fully healed and ready to ride by then, if he doesn't over-do it in the shop this winter.
