    Amal O Rings

hello all, been busy assembling my 68 bonnie, (thanks grandpaul for the help with machine work), while looking at the o rings that mate to the backeolite spacers, it looks like 45 years is a little past life expectancy. went to auto parts store and the ones they offer are much thicker. Anyone...

    Setting timing gears

Yep, thanks bullet, it is hard to see, if u look at the crank marks they are both short, but it takes a pretty good eye to see the difference on the intermediate gear. Might also be time for some new glasses on my part

    Setting timing gears

69 650 Bonnie. Ok the exhaust and crank marks line up perfect, the problem is that the hash marks on the intake are both long. I have a original shop manual, in its description the inlet position should be on the long hash mark for t120 which is the latter of the 2 from the pic. Is this correct...

    Stock 69 front end?

Ok, wanting to bring this front end back to stock. Bought the right stanchions,gAtors, headlight brackets, all seals and bushings. Being a 69 Bonnie, it's a shuttle valve front end. So my father was the one who put the extended front end on in the 70s. Are the exposed springs for esthetics? When...

    Head bolt replacemeant?

This will probably be directed at grandpaul, but advise from all is appreciated. Just got head back from machine work, on newer car and motorcycles they recommend new head bolts after taking apart. This will be the 3rd top end tear down, should I replace the head bolts? Thanks in advance
