This is a riding buddy of mine and the videos of his rides. I have ridden with him quite a bit, so will share his videos as they become available for your viewing pleasure.

These first videos is of him and his wife going to Campobello Island here in New Brunswick. It is a hidden little gem and I have been there many times, in fact he and I went there a few years back for his first time and now he likes it as much as I do.

Fabulous! Loved the tour! I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t enjoy metro bridges! LoL. I haven’t heard the term deer whistle in a long time. I don’t recall actually ever seeing one in person thanks for sharing!

The light station is fully automated now, so no one lives there, and the lighthouse is maintained by volunteers and a donation system to keep this piece of heritage open.
The walk over can be a bit slick, especially on the kelp and seaweed, but there is a pretty defined path.

Great stuff TUP
I've been to Campobello but entered from the US side in Maine while on a station wagon family camping trip.
It’s interesting the US connection is bridge. Easier and likely quicker access. Sometimes, I feel ripped off my parents moved us to Texas before I had a driver’s license or old enough to get a motorcycle one. I would have loved riding through Maine to places like this.

I've ridden twice through many of the New England states. Vermont and New Hampshire, with their mountains, are wonderful, as are the coastal roads of the Atlantic states.

I remember New England as a passenger. It was definitely beautiful and our brief trips to the Canadian side was likewise memorable. We never ventured beyond a few major cities when we lived on the east coast. Canada is a fascinating country. I took a trip to Alberta from Texas in my youth in an old Volvo P1800S. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Campobello is very dependent on it's US connection. They don't even have a gas station on the island. One has to cross over to Lubec, Maine, via the Roosevelt bridge to get gas. The nearest way to get back into Canada from Campo is to drive about an hour North to Calais, ME and cross into St. Stephen, New Brunswick.
Island residents often have dual citizenship and the nearest hospital to Campobello is in Machias, ME, for medical emergencies.
There is a seasonal(read, Summertime) ferry service from Deer Island to Campobello. It is a toll ferry.

You will get a great look at the beauty of Maine and New Hampshire in the upcoming Mt. Washington trip videos that we went on this summer. It will be a trip down memory lane for ya. ;)

I had a dear friend from Deer Island . He said a lot of Campobello children were born in the USA due to the shorter distance to the hospital in Maine . Can’t remember how that affected their citizenship..

I mentioned this before, but a friend and I rode by Mt. Washington with the purpose of going up to the top, but it was a bit overcast, and the clouds covered more than half the mountain, so we had to motor on.
Oh well, at least I had been up twice by car.
Looking forward to the video.

I believe that qualifies for US citizenship. I have a cousin who specifically made a trip to the USA during the end of her pregnancy. She timed it perfectly, her child has dual citizenship. She herself is only a Finnish citizen.
